Due to the resignation of Cllr Maxwell, there is a vacancy on the Council. If residents wish this to go to election, 10 or more should let the Borough Council, or Clerk know. If this is not the case, the council can co-opt a new member
As an Exempt Authority this year the Annual Return does not have to be submitted for external Audit. However, the Annual Governance statement, Accounting statements for financial year 2019/2020 and the internal auditors report are still available for public scrutiny. Copies of these are found on the Finance page
Under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (Accounts and Audit regulations 2015 SI2015/234) any person interested has the right to inspect the accounting records held by the RFO (clerk).
This inspection period runs from the 15th June 2020 –24th July 2020 and the official notification will be on Cranford Parish Council Notice Board outside the village hall
Due to the current health crisis, Cranford Parish Council have had to postpone the March meeting and will be holding a closed virtual Zoom meeting next week. If residents have any points to make, please contact the Clerk. We hope to be able to live stream subsequent meetings
In light of the current health crisis, a decision has been taken to cancel the monthly meeting next week.
The Parish Council still have some duties to perform, not least, in deciding how best they are placed to help the community at this time. We have not had any definitive advice from NCALC/Government as to the correct process in this situation, so we are just doing the best we can and will still adhere to ensuring any decisions are quorate
